The author has been preparing for this dream in Japan for 4 years, and finally was able to buy the campervan he had been dreaming of in Europe and start a camping trip in the car. The author is currently traveling through Genoa, Italy.

Self introduction

The author and her husband both love mountain climbing, camping, and traveling, and have visited 17 countries so far.

Because they wanted to realize their dream of traveling around Europe in a campervan, after a long period of preparation, they finally started in Europe.

The author is originally a digital nomad living in a camper van, working remotely and traveling at the same time. This also gave me the idea of ​​traveling around Europe.

Introduction to campervan

Campervan culture is deeply rooted in Europe, and there are many second-hand campervan sales stores there.

The author selected from various camper van models is the Italian Roller Team Granduca 255.

Although the car was made in 2005 and is a bit old, its mileage is only 50,000Km, which became a decisive factor in purchasing the car.

The body dimensions are 6m70cm in length, 2m20cm in width and 2m70cm in height, which are considered normal body dimensions in Europe. The interior decoration of the car is no different from the general house design, spacious and comfortable.

Granduca external equipment introduction

First, let’s start with the introduction of external devices. The Granduca I drove is a used car. It looks old, but it has no problems driving.

One of the conditions for the author to purchase a campervan was the spacious storage space on the side of the vehicle.

Although the storage space on the side of the car is smaller than originally desired, it can still carry a large amount of luggage.

The author and his wife are interested in mountain climbing and camping, so they store all their camping equipment here. Water pipes and external power connections are also placed here.

The storage space next to the side of the car is a space for placing gas barrels, which can store a total of two 10L gas barrels.

The refrigerator, heater, and shower in the author's campervan all use gas systems, so the gas barrel is very important. The author keeps two cans of gas buckets on hand and replenishes them as soon as they are used up.

There are 2 water storage barrels, one barrel is 100L, and the reserve is 55L. It can store a total of 155L. The author and his wife can use it for about four days.
