In recent years, KENDA Tires, in addition to achieving great sales results in bicycle tires and motorcycle tires, has also been fully engaged in the innovation and research and development of automobile tires. In particular, it recently launched two new tires - KR210 and KR606, and will release them soon. The event will be moved to the Changhua ARTC vehicle testing center, and through three different test levels, the participating media will be able to experience the true strength of the new tires. Let’s take a look at the performance of these two tires.
What most people focus on when buying tires is, in addition to the performance of grip, rolling noise, wear speed and price, etc., are also what many people care about. However, for Taiwan’s car environment where it is humid and rainy, and highways often accumulate water, Generally speaking, the drainage effect and grip performance of tires passing through wet roads at high speed are actually key points that cannot be ignored, and may even be hidden items that affect life safety. If you agree with this, maybe KENDA’s new tire - KR606 , which may be able to meet the demand for high grip performance in wetlands.
KENDA KR606 is mainly led by Kenda Global R&D Headquarters and is specially developed for high-performance SUV models. In addition to excellent dry and wet performance, it also has excellent fuel consumption performance and has obtained the European label B-level rolling resistance and wet grip. B-grade brilliant results. In order to achieve better wet grip performance, KENDA KR606 features many of the latest manufacturing processes, including a special Silica compound formula, asymmetric tread design, a new heat dissipation layer structure, improved annular edge rubber, and a larger ground contact area. etc., which can improve wetland handling and reduce rolling resistance while suppressing rolling noise.
Another heavyweight product is the KENDA KR210 high-performance passenger car tire, which was developed under the leadership of Kenda European R&D Center. It uses the latest formula and materials and an optimized pattern design. In addition to superior dry and wet handling performance, it also has It has efficient drainage and has obtained the European label wet grip grade B. The test results announced by European TCS/ADAC in 2023 ranked 11th among the 50 test tires and were listed first in the "recommended" evaluation group. The top 10 in the "highly recommended" group are all internationally renowned Big manufacturers, the overall performance of KR210 is enough to keep pace with them.
In the ARTC, KENDA Tire not only allows various media to test drive and experience the driving stability on high-speed circuits above 166km/h, but also specially prepares wetland control and braking test driving experiences. The prepared car model is Ford For Focus and Kuga, the tires compared are European brand products. In the wet control level, it can be clearly felt that the KENDA tires are on the low-friction road. When driving in circles, even if the tires are on the verge of catching. At the limit of the ground force, there is still a certain degree of steering tracking, and the front wheels will begin to obey and return to the driving route when the accelerator is slightly reduced. On the other hand, once the tires in the control group lose front wheel grip, they must wait until the vehicle speed slows down to almost stop. , to return to the driving route, and you can't replenish fuel at all in the corner, you can only stop the fuel and slide through.
As for the 100-0km/h wet braking road, KENDA's two new tires can still maintain excellent stability on all four wheels during emergency braking and will not slip. However, the control tires will have four wheels. When the wheels are slightly slippery, the steering wheel still needs to move slightly to make the vehicle go straight and stop. This also leads to a gap in the wet braking distance between two different brands of tires. Whether it is KENDA KR606 or KR210, it is at least shorter than competing products. A distance of 4-5 meters, and a difference of 1 meter in the stopping distance under severe conditions is enough to determine whether the front of the car is damaged, let alone a distance of 4-5 meters. From this we can see that these two models of KENDA The wet grip performance of the new tires is indeed quite good.
There are currently two new tires, KENDA KR606/KR210, both made by MIT Taiwan. The former currently has 18 specifications (16-20 inches), and the latter has 14 specifications (14-16 inches). The detailed specifications are as follows: Interested car owners may wish to choose KENDA tires that have won the Taiwan Excellence Award. They may be able to find tires that strike the best balance between price and quality.
