TGR and Lexus will exhibit special models such as the AE86 and GR Yaris at the Tokyo Tuning Motor Show 2023, which will last for three days from January 13, 2023.

Sprinter Trueno in the form of AE86 H2 Concept (hydrogen fuel engine vehicle) and Corolla Levin in the form of AE86 BEV Concept (electric vehicle) were exhibited at the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing booth as a symbol of "protecting the carbon neutrality of the car".
AE86 H2 Concept (hydrogen fuel engine car) is a model developed based on the experience of "creating better cars starting from racing cars" with TRD in the Super Endurance Championship and enjoying the unique charm of internal combustion engines such as sound and vibration. Two tanks of Mirai's high-pressure hydrogen cylinders are installed at the rear, and adjustments are made to injectors, oil pipelines, spark plugs, etc., to keep the scale of modification to a minimum.
The AE86 BEV Concept (electric vehicle) makes full use of the electrification technology that has been cultivated on Lexus. The body and weight of the AE86 are light. While maintaining the front and rear weight balance, it also incorporates the high driving force unique to battery electric vehicles and the use of manual transmissions. In addition, it is also equipped with the motor of Tundra HEV and the battery of Prius PHEV, etc., making full use of the electrification technology of current commercial vehicles.
Last year, Rally Japan was held again after 12 years, and WRC became a topic of discussion. Among the players belonging to the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, GR Yaris, supervised by Sébastien Ogier, who won the World Rally Championship in 2021, and Kalle Rovanperä, who will also win the World Rally Championship in 2022, made his debut.
In addition to coordinating with the two players for vehicle tuning and setting, the interior and exterior are also very particular.
It is expected that the launch time and vehicle details of the model will be announced later. Car buyers will be WRC side-by-side partners, marked on the WRC car, and will also provide special benefits such as seminars with Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä drivers.
In addition, "RZ Sport Concept", which can experience the unique driving feeling and modification fun of battery electric vehicles while contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society, will also be exhibited.
It is based on the "RZ", Lexus' first battery electric car exclusive model, and built by racing driver Masahiro Sasaki.
The exterior color is "HAKUGIN", which is based on pure white and shows delicate brilliance through light. And the blue color that can be associated with the clean energy and excellent driving performance of battery electric vehicles is used as the embellishment color, which also makes the image of the sporty style more vivid.
Equipped with 150kw high-power motors at the front and rear of the vehicle to make the driving performance more powerful, it also lowers the vehicle height by 35mm, and is equipped with exclusive aerodynamic kits, large-diameter wheels, and 4 bucket seats. Under the supervision of racing driver Sasaki, who has developed the RZ vehicle, the driving performance and modification fun of the vehicle have been improved.
