●New generation Crown development car revealed
●The side profile of the car is like a coupe
●The rear of the car is covered with a camouflage model
Around June 2022, a suspected development car of the next-generation Crown was seen in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. Because the car was photographed while traveling, the details cannot be confirmed, only the outline of the vehicle can be known.
The side view of the body is as shown above. Judging from this photo, the silhouette is more like a Fastback or a 4-door coupe than the usual Crown sedan.
This figure is the design drawing of the new Crown registration applied to the Patent Office in June.
The doors of the development car do not have the aerodynamic kit design on the blueprint.
Judging from the color of the original design, it may be a 2.4L turbo gasoline-electric hybrid model "RS".
Or maybe the development car is not an RS, but a "BASE" or "HI".
There are slender taillights on the left and right sides of the rear, and small lights below.
The taillights depicted in the design drawings are Harrier's through-line taillights. In addition, the center of the rear of the development car is completely black, and it is very likely that a rectangular camouflage part is installed there.
Judging from the fact that there is no camouflage pattern on the side of the car, it should be to hide the rear design.
