huh?! Why is BMW already carrying out a facelift on the electric iX3? After all, the model has only been on the market since last year. The explanation is simple: the BMW iX3 is based on the current BMW X3, which has been on the market since 2017 and received an update earlier this year. So the external changes to the iX3 are known: front and rear new light units, a larger kidney grille and slightly differently styled bumpers.
What is new is that the plug-in SUV is always equipped with an M Sport package. Adaptive LED matrix headlights are standard, but you have to pay extra for BMW Laserlight. In the cabin of the BMW iX3, the dashboard was overhauled. It now has the same center console as the BMW 4 Series, with a screen that has grown to 12.3 inches for the infotainment system.
And that was about it. Everything remained the same mechanically. This means that the BMW iX3 has a 286 hp and 400 Nm strong electric motor, which drives the rear wheels. The sprint figures are irrelevant (6.8 seconds to 100 km/h), because more important is the range, which is officially 461 kilometers, but quickly drops to 351 kilometers at a constant speed of 100 km/h. You can 'refuel' the 80 kWh battery with a maximum of 150 kW on a fast charger.
BMW supplies the iX3 in two versions: Executive and High Executive. The first is from 69,000 euros in the price list, the second from 75,000 euros. Previously, you could order the BMW iX3 from 67,500 euros. On the other hand, the standard equipment has become slightly more extensive after the facelift. From now on, every BMW iX3 will be delivered with an M Sport package.
