Corona, driving and fines: how many people are allowed in the car? (update June 2021)

More is allowed again, also in the car (update 5 June)

The new corona relaxation of June 5 also has an effect on the number of people you can sit with in the car. That used to be a maximum of 2 people, but are now up to 4 people. People living at the same address and children up to the age of 12 do not count.

If you are in the car with non-housemates, then do you have to wear a face mask. Children up to the age of 12 do not have to wear a mouth cap. If you are in the car with roommates, you don't have to.

From 1 July, several people can travel together in a car. Even if they come from different households. The advice is to wear a mouth cap, but that is not mandatory.
