●New three-generation models, the first to be powered by pure electric power
●The first model of the STLA Medium platform
●Dynamic fastback shape + i-Cockpit digital cockpit
●Gas-electric and plug-in gas-electric power will be added in the future
I still remember the launch of the second-generation 3008. Although the decision to change the positioning of the first-generation model from a cross-border MPV to a mainstream SUV was a bit surprising, the fact that it has sold more than 1.32 million vehicles worldwide so far proves that the original manufacturer chose The direction is right. Now the third generation 3008 has once again appeared in a slightly surprising fastback sports car guise. Coupled with the pure electric first development strategy, it is obvious that it wants to gain a foothold in the new energy market.
The unmistakable French avant-garde design has always been Peugeot's specialty, and the new E-3008 is certainly no exception. It uses sophisticated bionic lines and distinctive sculptural body folds to cleverly outline a compact and plump fastback. In addition to the new brand recognition shield-shaped lion emblem and radial water tank guard on the front of the car, the bright black ribbon connecting the headlights on both sides integrates the model nameplate, and the downward-extending lion fangs daytime running lights have also been changed. Designed with three parallel lines, the 3D lion claw impression LED taillights maintain a style similar to that of new-generation models such as the 408.
The interior layout continues the rich i-Cockpit driver-oriented design, and also adopts a 21-inch panoramic curved screen configuration that integrates digital instruments and multimedia systems. The central control position is also replaced with virtual buttons that have been seen on the 408. Touch panel, in addition, the three-dimensional concave shape above the instrument panel is also embedded with projected ambient lights, which can bring a unique visual effect when combined with the texture of the bottom trim panel. In order to provide a healthy and comfortable cabin environment, E-3008 is not only equipped with dual front seats certified by the AGR German Back Health Association, but also comes standard with the AQS cabin air purification system.
As the basis for the full development of pure electric vehicles, the new E-3008 is built using the group's newly developed STLA Medium chassis platform. It can provide a maximum battery capacity of 98kWh under a 2730mm wheelbase setting and adopts a single motor configuration (maximum output 230hp/35.0kgm )'s long-range model will have a WLTP endurance of 700 kilometers. As for the single-motor (maximum output 210hp/35.0kgm) and dual-motor (maximum output 320hp/51.9kgm) models using a 73kWh battery pack, both have a WLTP endurance of 525 kilometers. .
In terms of charging efficiency, E-3008 supports 11kW and optional 22kW AC slow charging, and DC fast charging up to 160kW. The manufacturer claims that the standard version of the 73kWh battery pack can complete 20~80% charging in just 30 minutes. The long-life model is even less than 30 minutes. In addition, the new car can also be equipped with the optional V2L external discharge function, which can provide up to 3kW and 16A power output. I believe it can better meet the needs of the new generation of consumers who have outdoor activities.
