●Apply for a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)
●What is the Electified Sport Concept?
●What is the specification of Lexus LFR?
According to overseas auto media reports, the new trademark "LFR" applied by Lexus has been registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
According to its content, "LFR" should be the successor of Lexus LFA. This car may be the battery electric supercar "Electified Sport Concept" exhibited at the "Battery Electric Vehicle Strategy Related Explanation Session" in December 2021.
The Electified Sport Concept is said to be the next-generation model of the LFA, and Toyota President Akio Toyoda also said that it is "the next-generation sports car that inherits the design crystallization of the LFA through the development of battery electric vehicles." In the video released by Lexus, there are also scenes parallel to the white Lexus LFA.
In the Goodwood Festival of Speed held in the UK from June 23rd to 26th this year, the electric concept sports car "Electrified Sport Concept" was also exhibited.
It is still uncertain whether the mass-produced car will adopt the same specifications as the concept car. It is speculated that its 0-100km/h acceleration time is more than 2 seconds, and the cruising distance can reach more than 700km.
According to foreign media reports, the LFA successor may be equipped with the three-pedal & virtual manual transmission that Toyota patented in February this year.
Whether the "LFR" trademark applied by Lexus this time will become the successor of the LFA, let us look forward to the subsequent release of information.
