Mercedes-Benz EQS: what will it cost?

Mercedes EQS: 770 kilometers on a battery charge

The first two versions of the electric Mercedes EQS to be delivered are the EQS 450+ and the EQS 580 4Matic. The EQS 450+ has a single electric motor, with an output of 333 hp. The EQS 580 4Matic also has a second electric motor, which boosts system power to 524 hp. Both versions have the same battery pack, which has a capacity of 107.8 kWh. Charging is possible with a maximum power of 200 kW. After 31 minutes, the battery is 80 percent full again. Mercedes communicates a range of 770 kilometers, but that only applies to the EQS 450+. It is not yet known how far the EQS 580 4Matic will reach a battery charge.

EQS 450+: cheaper than the cheapest S-class

The Mercedes EQS 450+ will cost 118,891 euros. This makes it cheaper than the cheapest Mercedes S-class: the S 450 (367 and another 22 electric horsepower) is in the price list for 137,446 euros. This is of course a 'basic' price, excluding options. The amounts for the tastiest options - such as rear-axle steering with a wheel angle of 10 degrees (default: 4.5 degrees), Intelligent Park Pilot with remote control and Energizing Air Control are not yet known. However, the spectacular MBUX Hyperscreen passes you by in the EQS 450+; which is reserved for the EQS 580 4Matic.

EQS 580 4Matic: with standard MBUX Hyperscreen

Mercedes has priced the EQS 580 4Matic at 154,949 euros. That is slightly cheaper than the base amount of the Mercedes S 500 4Matic (435 + 22 hp). The EQS 580 4Matic is currently the only version that comes with the MBUX Hyperscreen - standard, that is.

As usual, an introductory version will also be offered for sale at the launch of the Mercedes EQS. The EQS Edition 1 features AMG exterior elements, black metallic paint, a panoramic sliding roof and 21-inch light-alloy wheels. The interior is decorated with nappa leather upholstery, multi-contour seats, open-pore walnut trim and door sill panels with illuminated 'Edition 1' lettering. This package has an additional cost of 7,320.50 euros for the EQS 450+ and 5,324 euros for the EQS 580 4Matic.
