The BMW M4 is available in a number of flavors, as a coupe and convertible. All are powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder in-line engine, producing 480 hp in the manual 'basic version' and 510 hp in the M4 Competition with automatic transmission. The latter is also available as four-wheel drive xDrive. Of the 4-series Gran Coupé has so far only introduced an M440i variant.
The BMW M4 CSL succeeds the M4 GTS as a 'lightweight' top model. As can be seen in the spy shots from our spy photographer, it has a redesigned kidney grille, a raised spoiler lip in the boot lid and additional aero parts on and on the body. By using more lightweight materials and a stripped interior, the M4 CSL will probably be several tens of kilos less heavy than the M4. His power increases slightly.
When the M4 CSL hits the market in the summer of 2022, it will be a limited edition. Like the BMW M3 CSL (2004 - 1383 cars), the BMW M3 GTS (2009 - 135 cars), the BMW M3 CRT (2011 - 67 cars), the BMW M4 GTS (2015 - 700 cars) and the BMW M4 CS (2017 - 3000 cars). In the Netherlands, the regular M4 is available from 128,179 euros.
