It's marketing language. We shouldn't take that too seriously. Because what Seat means is that the Ibiza Reference is not plucked. So let's take a look at that. What do you get when you order the Seat Ibiza Reference, which costs 19,700 euros? And what don't you get?
To start with the latter: alloy wheels. You don't get that. Because the Ibiza Reference is only available with 15-inch steel wheels with caps. The motor selection is also limited. 150 hp, 110 hp, 95 hp ... you can forget it all. On the Ibiza Reference you get a turboless beetle with 80 hp. Take it or leave it.
Amazingly, the new entry-level Ibiza is equipped with LED headlights, an 8.25-inch touchscreen with DAB + radio and Bluetooth telephone connection and cruise control. According to the configurator, there is no automatic air conditioning. But it does have central locking with remote control, electric windows at the front, and a multifunction steering wheel.
If you think all that is a bit meager, then you have to find an extra 2150 euros somewhere. The Seat Ibiza Style costs so much more (from 21,850 euros), which not only adds a stronger engine (95 hp), but also alloy wheels, parking sensors, automatic air conditioning, an automatically dimming interior mirror, a light sensor and a rain sensor.
