On June 2, 2022, Nissan applied to the Japan Patent Office for patent drawings of four BEV concept models.

These four models are concept cars announced by Nissan when it announced its long-term vision "Nissan Ambition 2030" on November 29 last year.

Unlike other models, its patent drawing is the only model that does not depict the rim design, so it is speculated that future commercial models will have multiple rim designs.

【Wagon】HANG-OUT

It is rumored that HANG-OUT is a travel concept car that inherits the Cube.

The front and rear side doors are two-way sliding doors, which saves space and achieves unprecedented convenience in getting on and off. The interior floor is flat, providing a comfortable moving space like a living room at home.

The roof on the patent image does not have the thin box design when the concept car was released. Although the patent image is in black and white, this is the first time we have clearly seen what the roof looks like. If HANG-OUT launches commercial vehicles in the future, the roof thin box may be set as an option.

【Pickup Truck】SURF-OUT

Although the two-seater pickup truck SURF-OUT is an electric vehicle, it is also an orthodox off-road vehicle with excellent handling on unprepared roads. It reduces the load burden by lowering the shelf height.

Shelf covers are freely removable. The patent picture shows the state with the shelf cover installed. 【Roadster】MAX-OUT

The open-top sports car MAX-OUT concept car can become a new generation of flagship sports car to replace "GT-R" in the trend of stricter regulations on exhaust emissions and noise.

Minimalist interior design, no center console, only steering wheel and seats. To enhance the comfort of the passenger seat, the driver's seat is pushed back to ensure more foot room.

The reality of MAX-OUT is lower than the other three models, and the possibility of direct listing is very low. In addition, compared with the other three cars, it has fewer target customers and a lower priority.

Japan to convert more than half of its cars to electric vehicles by 2026

In its long-term vision "Nissan Ambition 2030", Nissan stated that it will introduce a total of 20 EV and e-POWER vehicles by 2026.
