NMC also released the new generation of Serena "Autech", "Multi-Bed" and other models
The facelift Serena will be released on November 28, 2022.
In 1991, the first-generation model came out under the name of Vanette Serena, with the design concept of "Big", "Easy" and "Fun", pursuing spacious cabin space, convenience and comfort.
It has been more than 30 years since the car was launched, and it is still sold as a core model of Nissan. This is the fifth major revision and the Serena is heading towards the sixth generation model. In addition to improving the comfort when moving, it is also equipped with Nissan's latest technology and many functions.
In addition to the entry-level specification "X", the mid-range specification "XV", and the high-end specification "Highway Star V", the new generation of Serena also added the top specification "Luxion".
Luxion comes standard with Nissan advanced driver assistance systems and comfort features. Coupled with Luxion's exclusive equipment, the texture has been greatly upgraded.
The power system has a gasoline engine and e-POWER. Except for the e-POWER exclusive specification Luxion, other specifications can choose a gasoline engine or e-POWER.
Except for the Luxion, which seats 7, other specifications including the e-POWER model are all 8-seater. In terms of drive system, e-POWER models only have 2WD options, while gasoline models have 2WD and 4WD options.
The exterior of Nissan's new generation of Serena adopts high-end fashion elements without losing a sense of intimacy. All lighting is LED, showing an advanced atmosphere and aesthetic feeling.
Following the design of the new-generation V-motion water tank guard, it is divided into two types according to different specifications. The opening of the Luxion and Highway Star V water tank guards extends to the bottom of the front bumper, giving people a dynamic and powerful impression.
The cockpit also incorporates many details with the core of advanced and high-end space, and the driver's seat also reduces the concave and convex design, which makes the vision clearer and improves the driving performance.
The high-end seat material is designed based on the home use scene. It is a functional material that is not easy to fall into the gaps, such as biscuits and other food crumbs, and is easy to wipe if the drink is spilled.
The new-generation Serena is the same as the fifth-generation Serena. The power system is set to a series hybrid "e-POWER" and a gasoline engine.
The Serena e-POWER model is equipped with the second-generation e-POWER 2.0. The high-output motor for driving is combined with the new 1.4L gasoline engine adopted by Nissan for the first time.
It is also equipped with Energy Management Technology that can control the engine operation with the navigation system according to the vehicle status and driving environment. In addition to reducing the engine operation frequency, it can also greatly improve the sound insulation performance of the body. The quietness is excellent, and the conversation can be carried out without burden while the vehicle is moving.
Gasoline engine models inherit the 2.0L engine of the fifth-generation Serena. The output performance is more linear, so that both acceleration and deceleration operations can respond as the driver wants.
The new-generation Serena changes ProPilot, which was only set in some specifications in the previous generation, to the standard configuration of the entire vehicle. When the highway is congested or when cruising at a constant speed, ProPilot can assist the driver to operate the accelerator, brake, and steering.
The top-spec Luxion is the first model equipped with ProPilot2.0 as standard. ProPilot2.0 can be driven with hands off in the same lane. In addition, Luxion also includes the "ProPILOT Park" and "ProPILOT Remote Park" of the parking assistance system as standard equipment. ProPILOT Park has Nissan's first memory function.
The new generation of Serena continues the acclaimed "double tailgate" and "multifunctional central seat" of the fifth-generation Serena.
And redesign the opening size of the double tailgate so that it can still be used in a narrow space. The multifunctional central seat adopts a new structure, allowing eight people to be seated in the e-POWER model.
The length of the car is 3,135mm, and the width is 1,545mm. There is still some space between the first row of seats and the third row of seats. The third row of seats also adopts a sliding design, which can slide 120mm. Even if the third row of seats is occupied, the maximum length of the luggage compartment can still reach 462mm.
Switch from the original gear lever to Nissan's first push-button electronic transmission by wire to save space. In order to improve the convenience of the occupants moving in the cabin, the channel space between the front seats is enlarged.
