Nissan Europe will announce a draft BEV design in September 2021.
The BEV depicted in this draft is a 2-door coupe based on the first-generation Nissan Silvia. The characteristic body curves of the first-generation Silvia are reproduced and drawn into a futuristic and advanced BEV model.
Silvia, which has restructured and redrawn Nissan's famous car models with future electric vehicle trends, has not officially mentioned whether it will be mass-produced and marketed, so an expected CG map of the "Silvia EV" commercial model has been made.
The CG image of the Silvia EV is based on Nissan's first-generation Silvia as a prototype BEV, and then adds the parts that may be installed in a commercial car.
The body curve of the first-generation Silvia in the draft is followed, and the front bumper grille of the Ariya and Note Aura models is adopted, which is in line with the design of the new-generation Nissan models.
The Silvia EV will likely be built on the Nissan Ariya chassis platform "CMF-EV".
CMF-EV is a chassis platform developed by the alliance of Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi. In addition to Ariya, Renault and Renault's sports car brand "Alpine" are also expected to launch a BEV car "GT X-Over" using the same chassis platform.
It is speculated that the Silvia has a cruising range of 580km and is equipped with Nissan's four-wheel control technology "e-4ORCE", which will be resurrected in the 4WD Sport BEV specification.
2024 is the 60th anniversary of the first-generation Silvia, and it is speculated that this Silvia will be unveiled as soon as 2024.
There are currently no BEV sports cars in Nissan's lineup, and it's possible that the Silvia EV will be the brand's first BEV sports car.
