Light as a feather

That is exactly the treatment that this Mini 'eMastered' has received from the English. The Mini has a fully electric powertrain that produces 96 hp and gives the feather-light car a sprint time of 8.5 seconds. Despite the addition of a battery pack, the eMastered only weighs 650 kilos. This means that the restomod is as heavy as when it still ran on gasoline.

The old and new Mini will never be a mileage eater: due to the modest battery pack of 18.8 kWh, you have to reach for the charger again after about 180 kilometers. It charges at 6.6 kW, which means it takes three hours to fill the small battery.

Modern conveniences

The interior has also been brought into the new millennium. The Mini eMastered has a touchscreen, can handle Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and cool air from an air conditioning system flows from the Mercedes-like ventilation grilles. David Brown Automotive has also opted for luxurious materials, such as the leather upholstery on the seats, around the gear lever, on the doors and even in the trunk.
