Volkswagen Type2

Volkswagen Type 2 is commonly called "VW Bus". It is a car model manufactured in 1978, and Westfalia is responsible for making the interior into a camper specification. With its retro, trendy atmosphere and cute appearance, this car is still quite popular and well-known today.

The bed is the size of a single bed, which is more than enough to sleep an adult, and I will put a sleeping mat here. Spacious enough to sleep comfortably.

Kitchen with sink and gas stove. The water in the sink comes from the lower water storage tank, the water in the water storage tank is sucked up for use, and the drainage is to discharge the dirty water to the dirty water tank for storage. There are two gas stoves attached to the kitchen. Because of the failure, the author does not use them now, and uses a two-burner stove for camping instead.

Heating

The heating is equipped with FF heating from Webasto. With this winter in Hokkaido, you can spend comfortably. With its good combustion efficiency and low risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, it's a must for those cold winter days in your camper.

There are many hidden storage spaces around the bed. The author uses the storage space above the bed as a wardrobe, and stores all the clothes here. Keeping the amount of clothing to a minimum is the secret to a comfortable camp life.

The bedside storage cabinet is for daily necessities such as toothbrushes and contact lenses.

There is also a hidden storage space above the tires. The space is very cool in all seasons, and the author uses this area as a food storage space.

There are screens on the windows, which can be used to maintain a comfortable temperature in the car in summer. There is no need to worry about mosquitoes entering the car, and you can go to bed directly at night. In summer in Hokkaido, you can spend the summer without turning on the air conditioner.

Turning the knob switch by hand is also very retro and cute.

hatchback design

The roof is a flip-top type, and as long as the roof is raised, it can stand upright. After the roof is raised, it can not only increase the sense of openness, but also make cooking in the car more convenient. Raising the roof in summer also helps with ventilation, making the interior more comfortable.
