Following the first test drive event of the EV9, Kia's general agent Sime Darby Kia Motors Taiwan held a grand "Kia Inspiration Day" event at the Taichung International Opera House on December 11, and officially announced the EV9, a pure electric three-wheel drive vehicle, at the venue. The pre-sale price of the flagship LSUV has been determined. The two models offered in the first wave include the Earth RWD with a single-motor rear-wheel drive setting, and the GT-Line e-AWD model with dual-motor front and rear four-wheel drive. The pre-sale prices are respectively 2.799 million and 2.999 million yuan. In addition, for GT-Line e-AWD, configurations including Swing rotating 6-seater (50,000 yuan) and Ottoman premium 6-seater (100,000 yuan) are available for buyers to choose from. Electronic digital rearview mirrors are also included. The package (100,000 yuan) and the GT-Line brown and black two-tone seats (30,000 yuan) are also listed as optional items.

In addition to the GT-Line exclusive appearance package including sporty front and rear bumpers, blackened roof racks and 21-inch aluminum wheels, the GT-Line model also comes standard with LED ice crystal headlights and LED star map daytime running lights and taillights.

In addition, in terms of appearance, the Earth and GT-Line models also have different configurations. The entry-level Earth uses Thin-Lens LED lens headlights, a silver roof rack, and 19-inch aluminum rims; In addition to the GT-Line exclusive appearance package (including sporty front and rear bumpers, blackened roof racks, blackened rearview mirrors and 21-inch aluminum wheels), the GT-Line model also comes standard with quite avant-garde high-tech features. Digital grating and Matrix Cube LED ice crystal headlights with IFS smart shielding function, and can be equipped with optional electronic exterior rearview mirrors and other equipment.

In terms of interior design, EV9 adopts a new integrated central display screen layout. The center console uses a 12.3-inch digital instrument, a 12.3-inch multimedia touch screen and a 5-inch LCD air-conditioning screen as the main visual axis. As for the optional Ottoman premium 6-seater, in addition to providing one-click relaxation and comfort functions for passengers in the first and second rows, the second row also provides multi-directional electric adjustment and leg rest functions, and is equipped with butterfly pillows and a central storage box. Trays and other configurations.

The rotating 6-seater configuration can provide adjustment modes such as rotating the door outward 90 degrees and rotating inward 180 degrees to face the third row of passengers.

EV9 built on the E-GMP electric global modular platform, all models sold in China are equipped with a 99.8kWh capacity battery pack. Among them, the Earth model with a single-motor rear-drive setting has a maximum power output of 204hp and 35.7kgm; The GT-Line AWD with front and rear dual-motor four-wheel drive has a maximum power output of 385hp and 71.4kgm. In addition, both models support 800V ultra-high-speed fast charging function, which can complete 10% to 80% power replenishment in 24 minutes. However, their pure electric driving range has not been announced so far.
