Pagani was founded in 1992 by Italian Argentine Horacio Pagani, whose family still owns the company. The government fund from Saudi Arabia recently bought 30 percent of the shares. Pagani can use the investment for the development of new models. The Pagani Huayra - which has been on the market since 2012 - is on its last legs. There must be a replacement.
And that is being worked on. The model is codenamed C10 at Pagani and again gets a twin-turbo V12 from Mercedes-AMG. "We have a close relationship with Mercedes," Horacio Pagani said some time ago, "and the new engine will be homologated until 2026. At the same time, we will have a fully electric vehicle in our delivery program. One that will be on the same platform."
Pagani also admits that an SUV is being considered. "If it comes, it should have a price tag of 3 million euros or more," said Horacio. "We don't know if there's a market for such a car, but it really can't be done for less money. If it has a Pagani logo on it, it has to be of the highest quality. But it's definitely something we've had for several times with collectors."
