First sighting of Jimny long 5-door spec

Received information on overseas sightings of the long-axle version of the Suzuki SUV "Jimny" currently under development, commonly known as "Jimny long".

This is the third sighting of a Jimny long development car. One of them is right-hand drive specification. This time I saw a left-hand drive, five-door specification.

Because the body is covered with a camouflage model, the body boundary is not easy to distinguish. In addition, the relationship between the newly added rear doors can be seen, so the front door windows have been reduced.

Other parts are basically the same as Jimny Sierra

Except for the wheelbase and the number of doors, the exterior of the body is basically the same as the Jimny Sierra. The fuel tank cap is located on the right side of the vehicle, and the rear bumper and rim are also common.

The area under the rear glass that appears to be covered with black adhesive tape is equipped with a spare tire on the development car seen in the past.

Actually got the interior information!

This is the first time to capture Jimny long's interior.

The interior layout is the same as the current Jimny Sierra. In the photo, there is a screen measuring driving data between the driver and the co-pilot, and the lines below are connected to all parts of the body.

Although I also care about the width of the rear seats, only the front seats were photographed this time.

Possibly a gas-electric hybrid?

According to the photographer who took the photo, there was no engine noise while the vehicle was driving. If the claims are true, Jimny long is likely to use a gasoline-electric hybrid system.

If it is equipped with a pure electric system, it may use the 1.5L inline 4-cylinder engine + motor used in the revival of the Escudo (Taiwan car name Vitara) in April this year. The gearbox may be the same as the Escudo (Taiwan car name Vitara) with a six-speed AGS automatic transmission.
