These two models are built on the basis of the advanced SGP global modular chassis, which greatly improves the rigidity of the vehicle and becomes a solid cornerstone for performance driving. Based on the SGP global modular chassis as the basis of sports performance, the new generation of WRX will become a sports car with outstanding performance and amazing comfort. WRXexterior design
The "dynamic and steady" that SUBARU has insisted on all the way has been perfectly reflected in the WRX. At the same time, it has been reshaped with bolder design techniques to achieve RV and travel models. The exterior styling of the new WRX and WRX Wagon is derived from the Viziv Performance concept car at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show and the Viziv Tourer concept car at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show. Compared with the previous generation model, the new WRX is 75mm longer and 30mm wider than before , 10mm lower and the wheelbase increased by 25mm (to 2675mm). The new WRX Wagon is 65mm longer, 15mm wider and 10mm taller than the previous Levorg, with a 20mm longer wheelbase (to 2670mm). Both models are built on the SGP global modular chassis, which maximizes the rigidity of the body and provides a perfect foundation for extreme performance driving.

The core of high performance is SUBARU's horizontally opposed turbocharged engine code-named FA24, and the new engine has also undergone unique tuning settings. This 2.4-liter horizontal four-cylinder 16-valve direct-injection engine is designed to provide excellent driving pleasure on roads and tracks. The main mechanical structural changes are the increase in displacement (from 1998 cc to 2387 cc), and a set of turbochargers with excellent performance (using a set of twin-scroll turbos, computer-controlled exhaust valves and air bypass valves , to improve turbine efficiency), the new horizontal engine can produce 275 horsepower at 5600 rpm, and 350 Nm of torque peak at 2000-5200 rpm. Both RV and Touring models are equipped with "8-speed Lineartronic CVT continuously variable transmission". Thanks to the "Sport Mode Shift Control" technology, the new transmission provides the convenience of automatic transmission and more sensitive shift response.
