Peugeot is busy with design. The new 208, 2008 and 508 are all handsome to see and the brand new Peugeot 308 is also a design masterpiece. Just look at the introductory photos. The 308 looks thick but stylish, with a low grille, pinched headlights, the well-known 'snake teeth' as daytime running lights, extended wheel arches and dark taillights with a black band in between.
But as in the photo, only the expensive GT versions really look like. If you get in for 27,990 euros you have to make do with 16-inch steel wheels and plastic caps, 'tusks' that consist of five separate lights and simplified taillights with three horizontal LEDs on either side. You get the Peugeot 308 Active Pack Business with 110 hp 1.2 turbo engine and a manual gearbox.
If you pay 29,290 euros, Peugeot will sell you the same 308 Active Pack Business, but with 130 hp and (instead of steel rims) 16-inch alloy wheels. The surcharge for an eight-speed automatic is no less than 2900 euros! For the full price list of the Peugeot 308 you can look below. We only mention here the starting prices of the 130 hp diesel (33,260 euros) and the two plug-in hybrids (180 hp for 35,430 euros and 225 hp for 41,930 euros).
