On May 23, 2022, Honda applied for a patent for a "battery pack-mounted vehicle".

The patent drawing depicts a small car with two rows of seats, and the battery pack can be seen under the seats.

In addition, the patent itself is "a vehicle equipped with a battery pack that can suppress the deformation of the battery pack without increasing the weight of the vehicle body", which is not directly related to a specific new vehicle.

Will "Fit EV" be resurrected?

Among the two-row-seat compact cars sold by Honda, the first thing that emerges is the "Fit". In 2012, Fit launched the "Fit EV" model, which is mainly leased and sold to local governments and enterprises.

At the same time, it also announced that 3 new electric vehicles will be launched in 2023. It is speculated that these three electric vehicles should refer to the "e:N series" introduced in Europe and China. If the Fit EV will be launched, it should not be until after 2024.
