The Mazda CX-60 built on a new longitudinal rear-wheel drive platform is scheduled to be launched on October 31

  • ●Dual-row five-seater configuration, positioned above CX-50
  • ●Built using a newly developed rear-wheel drive chassis platform
  • ●Fully digital instrument panel + 12.3-inch floating touch screen host
  • ●2.5L/3.3L gasoline power, 2WD/AWD transmission settings

It was mentioned in the annual product introduction plan announced by Mazda Taiwan at the beginning of this year that the CX-60, the first to be built using the new Large Products Group longitudinal rear-wheel drive platform technology and focusing on the luxury SUV segment, is expected to be launched by the end of the year. published before listing. After multiple camouflaged test vehicles were captured and appeared in the Environmental Protection Agency's new vehicle emission inspection data, Mazda Taiwan finally issued a press release on September 19th, announcing that this heavyweight flagship SUV will be officially released on October 31st. Listed.

The CX-60's body length/width/height and wheelbase are 4745/1890/1680mm and 2870mm. The product is positioned above the CX-50 and has a thick, full, muscular body shape and dynamic atmosphere.

However, the press release did not disclose the relevant specifications and model lineup of the CX-60. However, from the recent Environmental Protection Agency new vehicle emission inspection data, it can be seen that the CX-60 submitted for testing has two versions: 2.5 liters and 3.3 liters. There are two power specifications, and the former also has two drive versions, 2WD and AWD, while the latter only has an AWD four-wheel drive version. Since the chance of the 3.3-liter diesel engine power being imported into the country is not high, it is speculated that Taiwan Mazda will soon introduce the power specifications. , the biggest possibility is the two power specifications of the 2.5-liter straight-four naturally aspirated gasoline engine (188hp/25.5kgm) and the 3.3-liter straight-six turbo light oil-electric gasoline engine (284hp/45.9kgm) equipped with a 48V electric energy system, and All are equipped with a new 8-speed manual transmission.

In addition to the brand-new interior layout design, the exquisite and delicate material texture and atmosphere creation are the evolutionary demands that CX-60 emphasizes.

As for the 2.5-liter plug-in petrol-electric model launched in overseas markets, it did not appear in the test data. This e-Skyactiv PHEV power system is composed of the current 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G gasoline engine (189hp/26.6kgm), an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh lithium battery (134hp/25.5kgm), which can output a maximum combined power of 323hp. It only takes 5.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h, which can be said to be the most powerful power configuration in the current Mazda series. Of course, this PHEV power may also become an additional model in the future, so it does not appear in the first wave of imported vehicles.

The CX-60 places most of the engine body behind the front axle to balance the front and rear weight distribution, and combines it with aerodynamics and lightweight technology to improve handling performance, brisk starting and linear acceleration.
This 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine has a maximum horsepower and torque output of 188hp, 25.5kgm, and is one of the power options introduced into the domestic CX-60.

The product positioning and body size of the CX-60 are both above the CX-50. Its length/width/height and wheelbase are 4740/1890/1680mm and 2870mm respectively. The body size is larger than the CX-50 designed on the front-wheel drive platform. A little bigger. The cabin still maintains a double-row five-seater configuration, without a three-row seat setting, and is built using a new modular platform architecture that can correspond to rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive architecture. In addition, luxurious, delicate and high-quality materials will also be the focus of the CX-60, especially the high-tech fully digital instrument panel, 12.3-inch touch screen host (supports Apple Carplay & Android Auto), full-color New-generation technology equipment such as projected HUD and Mazda Connect control interface are also not absent.
