The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the production version of the spectacular Hyundai Prophecy Concept from 2020. But as is the case with study models and production cars, there is little left of the external spectacle. The Prophecy is a Porsche Taycan lookalike with an arc-shaped roofline and a 911 Turbo-esque spoiler on the back. You can see from our spy photographer's photos that the Ioniq 6 is a much more traditional sedan. Hopefully Hyundai will surprise us. Because with the Ioniq 5, the brand has created a fantastic-looking crossover.
The strange thing about the camouflaged car on the accompanying plates is that it seems to be hiding something on the trunk. Would the wing of the Prophecy return on the Ioniq 6 after all? We can't imagine it, but as said, Hyundai might surprise us. In terms of subcutaneous technology, the Ioniq 6 will in any case rely heavily on the Ioniq 5, which is now available with 170 hp or 210 hp and rear-wheel drive, or 305 hp and 4WD. The 170 hp version has a 58 kWh battery and a range of 384 kilometers. The other two contain a 73 kWh battery, with which a maximum of 481 kilometers can be achieved. The Ioniq 5 charges with a maximum of 220 kW.
